BETTER THINKING MAKES US STAND OUT

From the cave to the information age, humanity has prevailed and progressed. The human transformation was inevitable; therefore, it rightly begs us a question. How have we changed our behavior? What made us leave behind old traditions and build a world that is fast and automatic? What makes us unique from the animal kingdom?

The answer to all these questions is simple, it's called thinking. Human has this unique trait that no other species possess. Maybe it also gives us reason to call ourselves the most intelligent beings. Even though many scientists like a renowned physicist Brian Greene from the String theory argues for the existence of Aliens; if it's true then we might not be the only intelligent being in this observable Universe.

Let's assume for the sake of understanding that we are the only ones for now.

Do all humans think smartly and also correctly? The answer is no!

Every human is capable of thinking, but not everyone uses his unique thinking trait for thinking correctly. It can be the reason we experience lots of dangerous activities taking place around the world.

Universal law teaches us to be human and live peacefully. If everyone follows this law, nothing can go wrong. But it never happens. There are always few people who voluntarily take the law out of context and end up bringing harm.

Look at the picture very carefully:

This picture represents a mature and responsible person, whom we all admire because he is always correct factually and historically. Well, there is a reason why he’s always right and draws more attention among the community.

This mature person, let’s say, wants to learn about Artificial Intelligence (AI). He has no clue about what it is and how it works. He is at the first step called unknown.

Moreover, this person is well aware that he is unknown of AI and also acknowledges that if he doesn’t know about AI doesn’t mean there is no value in learning about AI. He accepts reality and starts his journey towards the next phase, where he encounters lots of information in the shape of mentors and Google searches.

It is where he moves into the next phase called exploration. After exploration for a few more days, he comes to the terms whether he wants to pursue this course or not?

Due to in-depth exploration, this person fully understands Artificial Intelligence. The next phase that waits now is called mastering the topic. He can now implement AI in practical life and discuss it with anyone for the common good.

Quote:

“Maturity, one discovers, has everything to do with the acceptance of ‘not knowing.” Mark Z. Danielewski

Now look at this picture carefully

Incompetent Person's thinking tool

This is another person who is as intelligent as the former one we just learned about. But there are certain traits that make this person different from the former one in terms of thinking.

Let’s assume, this person also wants to learn about Artificial Intelligence.

Initially, he is unknown about this topic like the former person. To learn about this topic, he moves to the next phase from the initial phase of the unknown. It is here where the journey towards success or failure gets chalked down. This person encounters similar information as the former person did. But due to particular mental behavior, he doesn’t allow himself to access that information in-depth.

To compensate for his failure to dive into the details, this person derives his mental strings towards judgments and misinterpretations to dodge reality. Instead of moving to the next step of Exploration like the former person did, this person finds it easier to manipulate the information and showcase it as unworthy of time and energy.

Surely, without exploration one cannot master anything.

As the saying goes:

“Ship is always safe at shore but that is not what it’s built for.”

We need to ask ourselves every day, who we are? Whether the former or the latter? Once we figure out, there is no force that can hinder us from moving in the right direction.

Steal like an artist by Austin Kleon

Book Cover (Source: Tapan Desai) Summary (informal) Everyone wants to become something in his life.  There’s no single formula to achieve one’s desired destination.  In this rapidly changing information climate, everything has become more competitive and less rewarding for those who do not pay more attention to details.  It is healthy to settle one’s mind to steal ideas productively from those who have experimented with them successfully.  There’s no harm in stealing ideas as there’s nothing as new to the world today given the scale of information exchange around the globe due to the Internet.  Since everything is already available on Google, one must go there and copy from authentic sources.  Make changes in it and sell it to the world. While you are working on the project, keep an eye on wrongs that might discredit the efforts.  Copying from a single person is plagiarism, but doing the same thing from more than one is research.  A good artist always credits his work to those from w

Why reading books is important?

There can be various aspects to this question. However, I will stick to a few points to convey to your mind why reading is an important exercise. Human is social being and to understand the world we need to learn new information constantly.  The learning must be slow and fast. No one can learn all the information available out there at once. For Humans to learn and that too authentic, a companion/teacher is required. Books can be trustworthy teachers in our lives. As we know, the human brain is a unique engineering tool. We can see things and make a judgment about them. We can hear the voice and make a particular opinion about it. We can walk on the ground and make an analogy of how it’s different from other parts of the world. We continuously improvise our ideas as we get updated information passing through our heads. This trait is unique and makes us better than Chimpanzee. Our minds require a continuous flow of information, and this information can be about anything, even the color

7 lessons I learned from the Al Chemist

Lesson #1:- Humans are tested with calamities and challenges to build a stronger intellectual ground where they can protect their lives and become able to create a better world for future generations.  Those who risked their lives and followed their dreams, they have got the victory. And those who did not risk, and played it safe,  merely stopped where they needed to start. Lesson #2:- Santiago in the search of his legend (true inner self) encountered challenges and a few close calls to death. In the search for treasure, he fearlessly bids on his life by selling his sheep to an old King joins a crystal shop in an unknown part of Africa, and finally embarks on the longest journey towards the Pyramids of Egypt.  His passion to find the unknown treasure based on his audacious belief in omens led him to overpower all the negative forces that could have stopped him from achieving his legend. Quote “If you believe in yourself worthy of the thing you fought so hard to get, then you become
