This has happened as a result of the apocalyptic Taliban takeover of Afghanistan. On the United States side, it has always opted for aggressive policy decisions when it comes to dealing with developing South Asian countries and Pakistan is no exception to this case. The fall of Kabul on 15 August enunciated the weak policymaking of US stakeholders. And unlike any other neighbor of Afghanistan, Pakistan shares strong socio-cultural values with the country. It is not an option for Pakistan to cut off itself from its western part. Consequently, Pakistan has always been supportive of Afghan stability because instability there would directly disrupt the peace and stability in its own borders.
