Start

There would be barely any person on the face of this planet who doesn’t want to become successful. Humans are the dignified form of species which is why they control this planet. We, humans, make the policies, infrastructure and norms, governments, and justice systems. Then how is this possible that some people get ahead in their life while many still struggle to find their real-life goals? What’s the real difference between success and failure?

Well, there is none. When we work hard - we either get successful or learn from the experience and do it again in a much better way. The shock of not achieving the desired results in the first attempt often brings lots of misery to the human heart. And it's absolutely fine to feel nervous and anxious. However, it is on us (humans) to take this opportunity as a lesson and convert it into success the next time.

Following are few important traits that will help us strengthen our belief in the process of hard work and encourage our way to guaranteed success.

Limit your Knowledge

This is an important one that’s why I have put it in the first place. When we start on a new project, it is important for us to keep our focus squarely on that target for a while until it’s completed. In this time of unwavering information, it is easier to get distracted. The YouTube platform can be used for learning Python coding but it also can be used for watching entertainment purposes, it’s just one click away. Google can be used for productive work but it can also be used for searching non-useful information.

It is necessary to keep an eye on the target. Limit your information means consuming only that information that is relevant to our goals. Avoid other information bombardments, it might broaden your perspective in other fields no doubt about it, but the chances are you might as well get distracted from your real goal.

Set your goals and try only consuming information that’s relevant to it. Save your time and energy. Increase your chances to become luckier.

Use Social Media Carefully

Due to the non-ending exposure of newsfeeds on social media platforms, we can easily fall victim to disinformation. When we are not consuming relevant content, we are wasting our time. We can use that time networking with those who can add value to our life.

Social Media has become our virtual reality; therefore, we cannot live without it. But using it when you are supposed to focus on your work might create problems. So always set your priority clear. Use social media when you think it’s worth using. Don’t use it for the sole entertainment purpose. Use it for networking.

Don’t Multitask

Humans are not machines. Laptops can work different tabs at the same time, but humans can’t. Let’s accept it. When you decide to write a blog then make it your top priority. Move to your next goal once you are done with the first one. We think about multitasking when we want to avoid hard work and it’s obvious that we can’t be productive like that.

Collect few relevant sources only

Internet is full of information. You cannot read every single article. Therefore, you need to boil down a few relevant sources from where you need to prepare your research report. Spend enough time at the start doing homework about searching authentic sources and books. Once you have finished searching, start reading from the selected few. Save time and get better results.

Balance your time

It is important to have a balanced diet in our normal everyday life. Dedicate time when you should be working productively, but also decide when you need to entertain yourself. It’s an important part of life. We cannot work all day long. Putting your whole day in work would jetlag your next day, so there’s no point spending time at once and ruining your next day routine.

Always prioritize your sleep time over any other thing. Getting proper and long sleep is not a waste of time rather it is making time to get productive.

Thank you for your company!

7 lessons I learned from the Al Chemist

Lesson #1:- Humans are tested with calamities and challenges to build a stronger intellectual ground where they can protect their lives and become able to create a better world for future generations.  Those who risked their lives and followed their dreams, they have got the victory. And those who did not risk, and played it safe,  merely stopped where they needed to start. Lesson #2:- Santiago in the search of his legend (true inner self) encountered challenges and a few close calls to death. In the search for treasure, he fearlessly bids on his life by selling his sheep to an old King joins a crystal shop in an unknown part of Africa, and finally embarks on the longest journey towards the Pyramids of Egypt.  His passion to find the unknown treasure based on his audacious belief in omens led him to overpower all the negative forces that could have stopped him from achieving his legend. Quote “If you believe in yourself worthy of the thing you fought so hard to get, t...

This is why evidence in conversation matters?

Here are a few big question marks? Why should one believe in storytelling when there’s little space for the question? Is it reliable what you're listening to? What is the truth? What makes a person qualified for any opinion? “The absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence.” – Carl Sagan The human thinking pattern relies on storytelling. As Yuval Noah Harari in his book “Sapiens” calls humans the social beings with close proximity to story beings. Humans communicate with each other through storytelling. It is an easier and more fun method to continue the conversation for a longer time. Sometimes, stories get to a certain level where the fine line between truth and false gets thinner. It becomes a hell sort of challenge to distinguish the words as true or false especially when it’s coming out of a person close to one in relations. Most of us grew up in an environment where many people could express their thoughts without any fear of being questioned. Age was considered ...

What is a Wasteman Loop & How to avoid it?

Waqar Ahmed | The Productivity Science What is a wasteman Loop? For the past few days, I have been doing a lot of social media surfacing without realizing the effects of it on my productive life. I was so indulged in social media scrolling, liking, and sharing weird cat posts that I never realized I was wasting more than 4 hours per day of my precious life. Being into some business where there is no return value or profit is what I call a wasteman loop. Every once in a while I return to this wasteman life and I have to push myself again to keep focused on the main objectives in life. This on and off productivity is what I call the loop. I’m constantly worried about two things to happen in my life, first, when I start wasting my time on social media or any other stuff that adds zero value to my life, second, the continuous fight with consistency to not return to wasteman life and still end up becoming the wasteman I loathe. How does it affect your productivity? Being a wasteman has...
