Seek Understanding: Unlock opportunities by applying self-awareness mantra in your life

Waqar Ahmed | CEO Science of Everything

When we hear something, it is important to know that it’s just an opinion, not a fact. Friends and colleagues have the right to say anything they want, but keep that in mind, you also have the same right to speak out your mind. It does not matter what is right and wrong as long as it is not disrespectful.

Arguments are the building locks to unlock human creativity. When someone argues constructively without making any personal attack, we must learn to appreciate it, no matter how opposite it may sound to our belief.

As the Greek stoic philosopher, Epictetus says very eloquently, ‘Caring about the one inevitably means you are going to shortchange the other.’

Great innovation happens when great minds come to a middle ground leaving behind their insecurities for the benefit of the greater good of society. Of course, everyone has their own biases and selfish interests, but we cannot make a huge difference alone. Therefore, collective understanding and shared responsibility is what brings real change to this planet.

Seek understanding by empowering yourself through knowledge and self-awareness. That’s the blueprint we all must look up for.

Thank you for your company!

Emily Elizabeth Dickenson: The greatest Poet

Waqar Ahmed | The Productivity Science Hope is the thing with feathers That perches in the soul, And sings the tune without the words, And never stops at all, - And sweetest in the gale is heard; And sore must be the storm That could abash the little bird That kept so many warm. - I’ve heard it in the chilliest land, And on the strangest sea; Yet, never, in extremity, It asked a crumb of me. In the thorns, we found strength and in flowers we found pain. That is the situation you caught in when you read the lines of Emily Dickenson. The finest poet of the 19 th century enlightened with the figments of death and immortality in her words. Emily is a great American poet and deserves to be known across the globe for her art. Her writing had brought her to a point where there was no fear to be afraid of. Not even her death. America at that time was facing some identity challenges as women were yet to be emancipated from their Kitchens and there were no vote ri...

Steal like an artist by Austin Kleon

Book Cover (Source: Tapan Desai) Summary (informal) Everyone wants to become something in his life.  There’s no single formula to achieve one’s desired destination.  In this rapidly changing information climate, everything has become more competitive and less rewarding for those who do not pay more attention to details.  It is healthy to settle one’s mind to steal ideas productively from those who have experimented with them successfully.  There’s no harm in stealing ideas as there’s nothing as new to the world today given the scale of information exchange around the globe due to the Internet.  Since everything is already available on Google, one must go there and copy from authentic sources.  Make changes in it and sell it to the world. While you are working on the project, keep an eye on wrongs that might discredit the efforts.  Copying from a single person is plagiarism, but doing the same thing from more than one is research.  A good ar...

Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan: A Nuclear Scientist

Waqar Ahmed | The Productivity Science Unsung Pakistani Hero Pakistan has faced tremendous security issues from its eastern border since its inception. Security was a big challenge for Pakistan back then and still today. However, things have changed since Pakistan developed its Nuclear Weapons.  Due to Nuclear power, Pakistan feels calm as the intensity of warfare has substantially lowered down to a small magnitude since it became a Nuclear Weapon state on 28 May 1998. And without the magnificent contributions of Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan and Dr. Abdul Salam, it would have taken Pakistan another century to build a nuclear deterrent to the scale it has reached today.  This morning, the legendary  Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan’s  (April 1, 1936 – October 10, 2021) soul has departed this mortal world; however, the legacy of his life’s achievement would live on and continue to enlighten the scientific society in Pakistan for centuries to come. Today is the moment to go back in...
