New Year’s Resolution

Waqar Ahmed | The Productivity Science

It’s a new year, a new opportunity. Life has provided another opportunity to start over again no matter how miserably we failed to keep up with the promises we made at the end of last year. We shouldn’t be losing to a few artificial errors. It’s all about mental stiffness. Make a promise to yourself that this time you won’t repeat the same mistake. You won’t underestimate the power of belief and positive energy. You will start over once again with full enthusiasm. This is a great time to set one long-term goal and 12 short-term goals.

Consider 2022 as a marathon and the twelve months in it as a sprint. Your main goal is to achieve something bigger by the end of this New Year. Whereas you will treat every month as a sprint, you will run every single day to achieve your short-term goals. Positivity must be the top flavor of this whole new transition.

Let’s begin this New Year with the hope that this year would be different from the last one and it would definitely be more productive and successful. Nothing bad would come along with us in this New Year. 2022 is all about success and even bigger success.

Let’s go…

Steal like an artist by Austin Kleon

Book Cover (Source: Tapan Desai) Summary (informal) Everyone wants to become something in his life.  There’s no single formula to achieve one’s desired destination.  In this rapidly changing information climate, everything has become more competitive and less rewarding for those who do not pay more attention to details.  It is healthy to settle one’s mind to steal ideas productively from those who have experimented with them successfully.  There’s no harm in stealing ideas as there’s nothing as new to the world today given the scale of information exchange around the globe due to the Internet.  Since everything is already available on Google, one must go there and copy from authentic sources.  Make changes in it and sell it to the world. While you are working on the project, keep an eye on wrongs that might discredit the efforts.  Copying from a single person is plagiarism, but doing the same thing from more than one is research.  A good ar...

New Year's Gift - 2022

Waqar Ahmed | The Productivity Science What would be a better gift than changing personal thoughts from being negative to a positive person? It is okay to be cynical, it allows us to vent out our anger, but that’s not the permanent solution to a Human’s mental frame. We need to have a peaceful mind to make better judgments about our own life for the long run. That’s why it is important to have some positive life aspects. Without positivity, it would not be an easier job to find the truth and make the right decisions. The reality of life is deeply connected with the nature of reality, and without any pursuit of truth, we cannot find reality in life. This year, let’s begin by making this resolution that, no matter what, I will always find something positive about everything. It will help get rid of the trash (useless thoughts) inside of our minds and make us a better version of ourselves.

What is a Wasteman Loop & How to avoid it?

Waqar Ahmed | The Productivity Science What is a wasteman Loop? For the past few days, I have been doing a lot of social media surfacing without realizing the effects of it on my productive life. I was so indulged in social media scrolling, liking, and sharing weird cat posts that I never realized I was wasting more than 4 hours per day of my precious life. Being into some business where there is no return value or profit is what I call a wasteman loop. Every once in a while I return to this wasteman life and I have to push myself again to keep focused on the main objectives in life. This on and off productivity is what I call the loop. I’m constantly worried about two things to happen in my life, first, when I start wasting my time on social media or any other stuff that adds zero value to my life, second, the continuous fight with consistency to not return to wasteman life and still end up becoming the wasteman I loathe. How does it affect your productivity? Being a wasteman has...
